2:30 PM.......... Parade Line-Up Begins (old Oak Hill High School lot. intersection of W. Main and Western Ave)
4 PM............... Grand Parade, led by Grand Marshal Gene Gatrell
Parade Route and Info
The grand parade will take place on Sunday, May 25 beginning at 4 PM. The parade is led by long time educator Mr.Eugene ‘Gene’ Gatrell.
“We are pleased to announce that EUGENE "GENE" GATRELL has been selected to join our prestigious honor roll of Parade Marshals for the 2025 Oak Hill Festival Of Flags.,” set festival organizers.
“Mr. Gatrell's impact on the students of this community during his career in the educational system of the Oak Hill Union Local School District is a valuable treasure. We wonder what this world would be like without dedicated educators and coaches like his example,” they added.
“We value his commitment to the Oak Hill community. On behalf the of the thousands of students and athletes you’ve helped along the way, “ they congratulated.
The parade will begin lining up at the corner of Western Avenue and West Main Street at 2:30 p.m.
There is no cost to participate in the parade.
Route: the parade will start at West Main Street, towards E. Main Street crossing Madison Street to Fourth Street, onto Washington Street, the left on Front Street (State Route 93) and ending at West Cross Street.
The parade will be announced from the Gary ‘Chipper’ Coleman Memorial stage, provided by Brian Lambert, at the intersection of State Routes 279 and 93.
